With Spring headed our way, I am featuring two items this week. One looks back on how fields were prepared for gardening. It is an iron plow made by W. E. & Sons, Greenwich, CT. Model Rough and Ready 4 S.
Today we are featuring a lovely Gone With The Wind type lamp. It is green and white with floral decorations. Perfect for your living room!
While out hiking the many lovely trails in our area (including Dutchess Rail Trail), this large Adirondack Backpack would carry all your gear.
Featuring a piece of local history. This walnut gavel and block, dating from the late 1800's, is from an old Wappingers Falls Court. At that time court was held in the rear of Knight's Grocery Store. The two were divided by a wooden railing. The building now houses Allstate Insurance at 2591 South Avenue (Rt. 9D) in the village of Wappingers Falls.
You will find these four counter chairs custom made in Vermont right now at the Hopewell Antique Center. Please come by and take a look!
Vintage Barnum & Bailey circus poster. We don't get too many circus items, so this is a real find. The dealer also has a circus-themed man's tie to go with it or to be purchased separately.
How about a lovely walnut teacart? This one would be great for serving tea (or other drinks) with your choice of scones, biscuits, or other goodies. It can be rolled from one room to another then put near a wall afterward as a piece of furniture. You could also display a wonderful silver tea/coffee service on it (we have that, too). So many possibilities!
Classic American made Singer Sewing Machine
This is a l940's "Mobo" Bronco pony. It is manufactured by D. Sebel & Co. in Kent, East London, England. The child's riding toy is made of pressed metal. The rider pushes down on the stirrups and wheels under the feet moves the pony forward. Wouldn't he look great in your living room as a conversation piece?
